Just in the nick of time.
I drink a lot of water. Suffice to say, I was confused and disappointed when my annual blood work results came back low on sodium.
What did my doctor suggest?
An electrolyte solution to see if that could improve my levels. We were doing a one-month trial before re-checking my labs.
I needed to absorb the water, cut back a bit, and see my sodium levels rise.
LMNT was his #1 choice, but said there are others on the market. Many of the competitors loaded their electrolyte drinks with unnecessary sugar.
Always be mindful when needing to add something to your healthy eating plan – to not create other problems along the way.
Research the options. Talk to your doctor. Compare brands – look at the nutrition facts and ingredients!
Around the time I started LMNT I had some serious travel coming up. We’re talking 60+ hours on airplanes, boats, airports, rideshare…
I did not experience jet lag. I went through multiple time zones. Sleep was skewed. My body clock was probably spinning.
But I fared well by adding LMNT to my daily airplane eating/drinking plan.
My current favorite LMNT flavors?
- Watermelon salt
- Raspberry salt
- Chocolate salt (a healthy and taste bud approved hot cocoa beverage)
I’m so glad my doctor recommended this. I would have never guessed all the benefits that have come from incorporating this simple fix!
And guess what – my follow-up blood check showed an improvement!
I’m thankful for a great suggestion from my doctor and a clean brand that is helping me achieve a healthier body.
LMNT has my back when it comes to staying well hydrated and healthy.
