When I hear the word smoothie, my mind instantly thinks, “What’s in it? I want to see the nutritional breakdown. Is it truly healthy?”
You’d be hard pressed to find me purchasing a smoothie out in public because there is rarely transparency on all the ingredients and nutrition facts.
You really can’t beat making your own at home and tailoring it to your wants and needs!
This smoothie is tasty, nutritionally friendly, and best of all – easy to make at home. Think fraction of the cost of what you’ll pay out…
Achieving a healthier body does not have to come at an expensive cost.
8-10 oz cold water
2 ice cubes
1 large organic frozen strawberry (I purchase weekly from the farmer’s market, clean, cut them in half and freeze.)
1/4 scoop Truvani vanilla protein powder
Ninja it up (any blender/food processor/etc. will work) and hit on high for 30 seconds. You could also mash your berries and shake it up. Improvise as needed. What sounds good to you?
The perfect healthy summer refresher. I enjoy mine post-Pilates in the early afternoon.
To top it off, all the ingredients you are familiar with (and can pronounce) and you can feel good about fueling your body with. I enjoy adding this healthy superfood granola on top — Granola Redefined.
